Enhancing Your Life Through Gambling

#1. Target Golf (2 or more people)
Get an old golf club from a thrift store (preferably 9 iron), some golf balls, and a barrel. With your buddies, find a nice open field and put the barrel somewhere in the middle. Now go back approximately 30-100 yards from the barrel (this part is completely up to you) and have everybody try to hit the barrel in one shot. Here's how to make it entertaining: every time you miss you have to put a certain amount of money in the pot. So if you start very close to the barrel and somebody hits it very quickly, then they won't win much money, but if you start far away and it takes a long time for somebody to hit the barrel, then the stakes will get very high. If you want a mildly entertaining evening make the wager 10 cents per missed shot; if you want a moderately entertaining evening, make it one dollar; if you want a completely outrageous evening where it is certain that somebody will get hurt, cry, or become lifelong enemies with a previous friend: 20 dollars per missed shot.

#2. The G4 television network betting game (2-3 people)
There's a cable network called G4 that is for video gamers, and the only three different programs you will see are generic video game shows, (reviews, cheats, previews of new games, etc...) the Man Show, or Star Trek: The Next Generation. For this game, everybody has to pick one of those three shows and put five dollars on top of the television. Then, turn on G4 to see what they're airing, and the person who picked that program takes the money! Note: if the program turns out to be a rerun of the short lived Fast and The Furious rip-off "Fastlane," everybody loses and the money has to be torn up.

#3. Lord of the Rings drinking game (3 or more people)
Each contestant must bring two 40's and a twenty dollar bill, and the host must rent all three extended editions of the Lord of the Rings movies. Have everybody put 20 dollars on the table, start the movies, and the last person awake takes the money. Note: I wouldn't recommend actually doing this one.

[At least 3 people and one sober person… or limit the tasks so that no car is needed]
Ok here is the best way to make for a fun evening. Everyone needs to bring 20 dollars in one dollar bills and a 12 pack of beer. It is like truth or dare; except the stakes are much higher and the incentives are much more motivating. Here's what you do. You get a group of people together and have everyone write down dares on a piece of paper. You specify each action with a dollar amount next to it. For example if it is an easy task, like prank call a teacher, you might put a dollar next to the dare. Now after everyone is done writing down as many truths and dares on pieces of paper, you put them all in a big tub and start drinking. Once everyone has successfully drank 6-8 beers you start drawing truth and dares. You go around in a circle, each person drawing one piece of paper. If someone does the task they draw then they get the dollar amount that is written next to the task. You keep drinking and playing until the beer and money are both gone. If you are one that likes to have black mail handy I would recommend bringing a camera or a video camera because more than likely it will be a crazy night.

Have any ideas for hilarious or fun betting games? Let me know furious@furiousm.com and I'll put it on this page. Also, I'll add more as I think of them.
