When we got to Hatcher Pass this afternoon we slogged through the deep snow east of the parking lot up to a small rollover. There was about a two foot cornice at the top, and a 30 degree slope below it. We built a jump just behind the cornice and proceeded to jump until the landing was a giant crater. The biggest drops were probably about 15 vertical feet. This morning was bright and sunny, but clouds moved in and it started snowing just as we left Hatcher Pass.
